Gloria is a sustainable development practitioner with years of experience in environment and natural resource management. She is passionate about adding a gender lens to natural resource governance through community empowerment, communications and research. Through the Sustainable Artisanal Mining Applied for Livelihood Advancement (SAMALA) for Women and Youth Project, Gloria is currently leading interventions aimed towards leveling the play field for women in the ASM sector through capacity and technical support; as well as facilitating their participation in policy and decision making processes at national and local levels.
Gloria is a Programme Manager with the Centre for Environmental Policy and Advocacy where she also serves as the National Coordinator for Publish What You Pay Malawi. She is an alternate member in the Malawi Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative where she represents CSO’s and supports national extractives revenue governance. She is also the Anglophone Region representative in the Publish What You Pay Global Council.
