About this Presenter
For the past few years, I've been dedicated to making gold mining in Latin America a better practice for people and the environment. For the Amazon Aid Foundation, I research and write, with the hope of raising awareness about the importance of the Amazon rainforest and promoting sustainable gold supply chains. For the environmental health organization Pure Earth, I manage and support projects in Peru and Colombia that help artisanal gold miners reduce mercury-use, reforest degraded mining areas, and manage contaminated mining sites.
